Vector Solutions’ October 21, 2021 Webinar helps Districts Connect the Dots Between Student Mental Health and Safety
A well-rounded approach to school safety includes programs that focus both on outside threats and on student wellbeing. Vector Solutions, the leading provider of training and software solutions to help schools make their operations and communities safer, smarter and better is hosting a webinar at 2 p.m. EDT on October 21, 2021 with the Round Rock ISD Police Department, which was formed in 2019 to serve the Round Rock Independent School District in Texas. The webinar will showcase the department’s Four Pillars of School Policing model, an approach to transformative school policing with a heavy focus on students’ mental wellbeing.

The webinar “Connecting the Dots Between Student Mental Health and School Safety,” will feature Chief Jeffrey Yarbrough and Dr. Amy Grosso from Round Rock ISD. They will provide an overview of the department’s Four Pillars of School Policing model and how it promotes safety and security, student advocacy, civil and human rights through racial equity, and behavioral health. They will share how a heavy focus on the social-emotional well-being of students creates a safe environment that allows all students to learn and thrive.
