To help districts better understand inclusive, trauma-informed practices and how they can help support students, staff, and administrators, Vector Solutions, the leading provider of training and software solutions to help schools make their operations and communities safer, smarter, and better, is hosting a free webinar at 2 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. The webinar, “Implementing Inclusive and Trauma-Informed Practices to Improve School Culture” features expert advice from diversity, equity, and inclusion consultant Dr. Angela Batista. To register, visit https://bit.ly/3tUPzCZ. The webinar will also be available on-demand.

During the webinar, Batista will invite participants to consider how implementing an inclusive trauma-informed approach can improve school culture and help them to better understand resilience and how to build up resilience in students and colleagues, as well as themselves.

“The current circumstances demand more from us, and from our organizations than ever before,” Batista stated in describing the webinar. “During these prolonged uncertain times, adopting inclusive and trauma-informed practices can help school leaders become more self-aware and better able to connect to and support colleagues and students while also taking care of themselves.”

The webinar will address:

  • What trauma-informed leadership is
  • The connection between inclusive and trauma-informed leadership and the improvement of culture
  • The value and implications of adopting a trauma-informed leadership approach
  • Specific inclusion and belonging strategies
  • How to build up and leverage resilience during challenging and uncertain times

“Adopting inclusive, trauma-informed practices can help schools create safe, welcoming environments for both students and staff,” said Donna McMullin, Vector’s Vice President of Product Marketing, Education. “Dr. Batista has extensive expertise in this area and this webinar is a great opportunity to learn more about how to implement these practices in your school or district.”
