Schools in All 50 States & Two U.S. Territories Offer Students Access to Online Courses from VHS Learning

With the addition of 44 new school partners in 2021, VHS Learning reaches new milestone

In 2021, 44 new schools partnered with VHS Learning, a nonprofit empowering schools with the industry’s best teacher-led online learning programs. Located across the United States and around the world, these school partners are now offering their students access to the nonprofit’s more than 300 core and elective courses online. With the addition of these schools, VHS Learning is now partnered with schools in all 50 states, two U.S. territories, and 63 countries.

Our history of excellence helps schools feel confident about choosing VHS Learning to meet their online education needs.”

The new U.S. school partners are in twelve states – Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin. New international school partners are in China, Taiwan, Korea, Portugal, Sierra Leone, and the United Arab Emirates.

VHS Learning has a distinguished 25-year history of supplementing face-to-face education with quality online learning that provides middle and high school students with equal access to expanded curriculum offerings. The nonprofit offers hundreds of unique online courses, including 24 AP® offerings, innovative STEM and humanities programs, and a wide variety of unique electives.

The nonprofit’s focus on quality is so strong that its executives helped update the National Standards for Quality Online Teaching, Courses, and Programs 15 years after helping to establish the original standards published through iNACOL. All teachers are required to complete VHS Learning’s graduate-level Online Teaching Methodologies (OTM) training course to learn best practices for online instruction and learning. In addition, teachers who provide instruction for VHS Learning courses are high school certified in their subject areas, with 81% possessing a master’s degree or higher.

“Our students seem to be enjoying the courses,” said Joanne Oh, Head of School at Gangnam International School in Seoul, Korea. “From our end, it’s been a very smooth and easy process, which is very unlike the other online course programs. We don’t have to go searching for information or wait days to get answers; everything is transparent. The way the system works enables site coordinators to be more independent and less hampered by logistical hindrances.”
