PBLWorks Launches New Podcast Series – The Project

Series to highlight the power and impact of Project Based Learning for students.

PBLWorks, the leading provider of professional development for high-quality Project Based Learning (PBL), has launched a new podcast series called The Project with the goal of diving deep into the power, the potential, the pitfalls and the possibilities of PBL.

Hosted by PBLWorks’ curriculum and program manager Laureen Adams and digital curriculum manager Stanley Richards, the first six episodes present conversations with and stories from leaders and practitioners of PBL.

“Many of us at PBLWorks are fans of podcasts. They’re a great medium for storytelling and they offer teachers a way to learn about PBL during their drive time or on-the-go,” said Bob Lenz, CEO of PBLWorks. “And The Project lets our team speak to teachers more directly, and for our audience to get to know us in a more personal way.”

Episodes include:

  • “Don’t send a professional to do an 8th grader’s job,” a conversation with EL Education’s Chief Academic Officer Ron Berger about powerful PBL projects he’s worked on with students, including an 8th grade science project that prompted a town to invest $156,000 in energy renovations of its schools.
  • “This Teachable Moment,” a talk with PBLWorks CEO Bob Lenz about the opportunity he sees during this pandemic to transform the way kids learn.
  • “The education all students deserve: PBL and racial equity,” in which Big Picture Learning CEO Carlos Moreno and Equity Consultant Dinah Becton-Consuegra discuss redesigning schools with equity in mind.
