Company Broadens New Course Offerings for Social and Emotional Learning

October 8, 2019 – Edgenuity, a leading provider of online curriculum and instructional services for the K-12 market, today announced an expanded library of Social and Emotional Learning (“SEL”) courses through its Courseware product line.

Edgenuity added a series of dynamic and engaging SEL courses and intervention topics through the company’s partnership with online course provider Purpose Prep. Edgenuity customers now have access to six SEL courses integrated into Courseware for a seamless user experience: Mental Health & Wellness, College and Career Readiness, Social & Emotional Success, Unlock Your Purpose, Character & Leadership Development and Personal Development. The curriculum addresses topical interventions for students at risk or in need of behavioral supports and intervention.

“With each new school year, we continue to provide more innovative and effective solutions, adding new features and engaging content to meet the needs of students and educators,” said Edgenuity CEO Sari Factor. “Educational environments are rapidly evolving and we’re proud of the role we play enabling teachers to become more efficient and effective, and providing students with more highly personalized ways to take control of when, where and how they’re learning.”

Each SEL course aligns to core competencies outlined by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) best practices.
