Benetech’s annual School Preparedness Survey asks more than 1,000 special education teachers, assistive technology specialists, education therapists, and other teachers who work with students with reading barriers how they are feeling for the 2019-2020 school year. From this survey, Benetech identified five factors that impact teacher and student preparedness:
- Access to technology
- Support from administration
- Books in accessible formats
- Teacher role
- Percentage of students on free and reduced lunch.
